Norton annual and monthly subscription refunds
Most of our services are offered as automatically renewing subscriptions to help our customers avoid lapses in their service. With an automatically renewing subscription, you have continuous access to your service without having to worry about expiration dates.

Annual subscriptions: Norton annual subscriptions include a 60-day Money Back Guarantee. Under our 60-day Money Back Guarantee, the purchase of a Norton annual subscription is eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60 days of the purchase date. Each annual renewal payment is also eligible for a full refund, if requested within 60 days of being charged. For an annual paid subscription after a free trial, you can request a full refund within 60 days of being charged. Subsequent annual renewal payments are also eligible for a full refund if requested within 60 days of being charged.
Monthly subscriptions: If you have a monthly subscription, you can cancel your contract and request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Subsequent monthly renewals are not eligible for a refund. For a monthly paid subscription after a free trial, you can request a full refund within 14 days of being charged, subsequent monthly renewals are not eligible for a refund.

The instructions to obtain a refund vary depending on how you purchased the plan. Please choose one of the following depending on your purchase:
Purchased from Norton Online Store
Purchased from a retail store
To obtain a refund for a Norton subscription that you purchased from a retail store, contact us here or via live chat (not available in all countries).
Please have the following information ready when contacting Norton Member Services & Support.
- Photocopy or print an image of the Subscription Key label used to activate your subscription.
- This is necessary to validate your purchase and prevent the use of the subscription after the refund.
- For most subscriptions, this is a 25-character key that can be found on a card in the packaging or printed on the receipt.
- Photocopy or print an image of the original receipt showing the purchase date and price paid for the subscription.
Important Notice
In accordance with the License and Services agreement, after you receive your refund, the software may automatically deactivate and become non-operational to prevent further use. You must delete all copies of the Software for the subscription that you return.Purchased through partners, such as internet service providers and telecom companies
When you’re billed for your subscription through one of our partners, we cannot issue you a refund. Contact the company that bills you for your Norton subscription for assistance.
In-app purchase from Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store
If you subscribed to a Norton plan through an in-app purchase, you can cancel or change your subscription settings only from Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store. Refunds for Japan
- AU Shop: If you purchased from an au shop and wish to make a refund, you can apply for a refund online. For detailed instructions, read au shop products returns.
- Other retailers: If you purchased from a retail shop in Japan, contact Norton Member Services & Support via live chat.
