Why do you need a VPN product
Change your geographic region in VPN
By default, Norton VPN product automatically picks the optimal regional data server based on your location. You can manually change the selected region from the location settings. Depending on your operating system, choose one of the following:
Android
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:
Norton Secure VPN (version 3.x and below)

Launch Norton Secure VPN.

Tap the location icon at the bottom of the screen.

In the Region screen, select the geographic region you want from the list.
Norton VPN (version 4.x and above)

Launch Norton VPN.

On the Norton Secure VPN screen, tap the drop-down list next to Fastest location.

On the Fastest location screen, select the geographic region you want from the list.
Norton 360 (version 5.x and above)

Launch Norton 360.
-
Tap Privacy at the bottom of the screen.

On the Privacy screen, tap VPN.

On the Privacy screen, tap the drop-down list next to Fastest location.

On the Fastest location screen, select the geographic region you want from the list.
iOS
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

Norton 360 (version 2.x and above)

Launch Norton 360.

On the Norton Secure VPN dashboard, tap the drop-down list next to Fastest location.

Launch Norton VPN.

On the Norton Secure VPN dashboard, tap the drop-down list next to Fastest location.

On the Change your location screen, select the geographic region that you want from the drop-down list.
Enable or disable Warnings
Enable or disable warnings

Open Norton Secure VPN.

Tap the Wi-Fi Settings icon at the bottom of the screen.

Slide Enable Warnings option to enable or disable Enable Warnings.
Enable Warnings switch is grayed out when you are connected to a secure network.
Block Ad Trackers on Android or iOS
Each mobile device has a unique advertising ID which may be used to track your details like name, address, and age. Advertising IDs may be used by app developers to create targeted advertisements that are relevant to you. The Block Ad Tracker feature in VPN protects you and helps block advertisers' tracking technologies to reduce many of the targeted advertisements. Depending on your operating system, choose one of the following:

Tap the Ad Tracker icon at the bottom of the screen.

In the Ad Tracker blocking screen, move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.
Ad Tracker blocking works only when Virtual Private Network is turned on.

Launch Norton VPN.

Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

In the VPN Configuration screen, tap Ad Tracking Blocker.

In the Ad Tracker Blocking screen. move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.
Norton 360 (version 5.x and above)

Launch Norton 360.

Tap the Menu icon on the top-left corner of the screen and click Settings.

In the Settings screen, tap Privacy and then tap Ad Tracking Blocker.

In the Ad Tracker Blocking screen, move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.
iOS
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

In the Ad Tracker screen, slide Block Ad Trackers to enable Ad Trackers.

In the Ad Tracker Blocking screen. move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.

Tap the Privacy section and tap the right arrow next to VPN.

Under the Ad Tracker Blocking section, slide Block Ad Trackers to enable or disable Ad Trackers..
Change VPN Protocol on Android or iOS
VPN protocols are a set of rules that inform how a data is going to be transmitted from your computer. Depending on your product, choose one of the following to configure VPN protocols.
Android

Enable Split Tunneling on Android
The Split Tunneling feature in your Norton VPN product lets you direct and encrypt your choice of apps by selecting the traffic you wish to exclude from VPN. To use the Split Tunnel feature on your Android device, follow the steps below:
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:
Norton Secure VPN (version 3.x and below)

Launch Norton Secure VPN.

Tap the Menu icon on the top-left corner of the screen and click Settings.

In the Settings screen, move the slider to enable Split Tunneling.

To exclude an app, tap Exclude Apps under Split Tunneling.
In the Exclude Apps screen, tap the app that you want to exclude from Norton Secure VPN traffic.
Norton VPN (version 4.x and above)

Launch Norton VPN.

Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen and tap VPN Preferences.

In the VPN Preferences screen, tap Split Tunneling.

In the Split Tunneling screen, move the slider to enable the feature.

To exclude an app under Split Tunneling, under Exclude specific apps from using VPN, tap the checkbox next to the app that you want to exclude.
Norton 360 (version 5.x and above)

Launch Norton 360.

Tap the Menu icon on the top-right corner of the screen and tap Settings.

In the Settings screen, tap Privacy.

In the Privacy screen, tap Split Tunneling and move the slider to enable it.

To exclude an app under Split Tunneling, under Exclude specific apps from using VPN, tap the checkbox next to the app that you want to exclude.
Cancel your subscription or stop it from automatically renewing
For subscription made through in-app purchase on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Microsoft Store
If you subscribed through an in-app purchase, you can manage and change your subscription settings only from Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store.
Uninstalling the Norton app from your device does not automatically cancel your subscription, nor does it stop your subscription from automatically renewing. You must change your subscription settings on the respective store.
Norton VPN Trial
The Norton VPN trial from Apple App Store or Google Play Store requires a payment method and the activation of an annual paid subscription through an in-app purchase. A charge for the annual paid subscription is initiated at the end of your trial period.
To cancel the trial before any charge occurs, you must cancel the subscription before the trial period ends. If your annual paid subscription has already started and been charged, you must cancel the subscription through the respective store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

For subscription purchased at a retail store or Norton Online Store
If you want to stop your subscription from automatically renewing, see Stop your Norton subscription from automatically renewing to change your renewal settings on your account page. You need to do so before your billing date and it typically takes a few hours from your request for the change to take effect. You may also cancel your subscription and request a refund according to our Cancellation and Refund policy.
