Improve the performance of your computer with Norton Utilities Premium

The Speed Up tools in Norton Utilities Premium maximize the speed of your computer and improve overall performance. These tools also resolve performance-draining issues in order to boost the speed and performance of your computer.

The available tools in Norton Utilities Premium are:

  • Disk Defragmenter

  • Application Accelerator

  • RAM Reclaimer

  • Startup Optimizer

Disk Defragmenter

The Disk Defragmenter tool re-aligns scattered file fragments to boost drive efficiency and increase system speed by improving file access.

Run Disk Defragmenter

  1. Open Norton Utilities Premium.

  2. On the left pane, click Toolbox > Speed Up.

  3. In the Speed Up window, click Disk Defragmenter.

  4. In the Disk Defragmenter window, select the hard drives that you want to optimize.

  5. Click Analyze Now to defragment your hard drives

  6. Click Exit.

Application Accelerator

The Application Accelerator tool re-aligns scattered file fragments to boost drive efficiency and increase system speed by improving file access.

Run Application Accelerator

  1. Open Norton Utilities Premium.

  2. On the left pane, click Toolbox > Speed Up.

  3. In the Speed Up window, click Application Accelerator.

  4. In the Application Accelerator window, select the hard drives that you want to optimize.

  5. Click Analyze Now to defragment your hard drives.

  6. Click Exit.

RAM Reclaimer

RAM Reclaimer releases the trapped system memory that is not in use by the programs that have captured it and delivers it back to the system to increase overall system speed.

Run RAM Reclaimer

  1. Open Norton Utilities Premium.

  2. On the left pane, click Toolbox > Speed Up.

  3. In the Speed Up window, click RAM Reclaimer.

  4. Click Exit.
