Reduce Windows startup time with Norton Utilities Premium

The Startup Optimizer in Norton Utilities Premium improves the computer startup time it and system performance by disabling unnecessary startup programs that run in the background.

Run Startup Optimizer to reduce startup time

1. Open Norton Utilities Premium.

2. On the left pane, click Toolbox > Speed Up.

3. Click Startup Optimizer.

4. In the Startup Optimizer window, under Unnecessary items, you can find the list of programs that load when your computer is started.

5. In the list of programs, use the toggle switch under the Status column to Keep on or Delay or Turn off the program when your computer starts.

   You can also use the drop-down arrow present on the far-right corner of each program to view the performance impact of the program.

6. Click Analyze Now to defragment your hard drives.

The Potentially unwanted items tab in Startup Optimizer provides the list of programs that may reduce the startup time of your computer. Use the toggle switch under the Status column to Keep on or Delay or Turn off the program when your computer starts

The Expert view section provides the list of all startup items that can be configured in your computer. It also provides access to system drivers and other low-level programs that run in your computer. Click Expert view (all items) and then click Open expert view to configure all startup items.
