Learn what to do if you received a Social Media Monitoring notification
If you received a Social Media Notification, we encourage you to be proactive so an identity thief does not take control of your social media account. You want to prevent your account from being used to post malicious content, enable fraudulent money transfer, infect your device, etc.
We recommend that you take immediate action to protect your social media accounts by doing the following:
-
Check the person posting on your account and block them if they are suspicious;
-
Use a strong and unique password for all your social media accounts. Do not use a same password for all your accounts; and
-
Set up two-factor authentication whenever available with a website.
