Norton Family does not monitor the web browsing activities of your child

To fix this problem, ensure that the Norton Family plug-in or extension is installed and enabled in the browser that your child uses.

To enable the Norton Family plug-in or extension, select your browser:

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. On the top-right corner, click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon, and then click Settings.

  3. In the Settings page, click Extensions.

  4. In the Extensions page, next to Norton™ Family, move the slider to enable the extension.

  5. If Chrome version is 70 or later, at the top-right, click Norton Family icon.

  6. Click This can read and change site data and then choose On all sites.

  7. Close and relaunch Google Chrome.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. On the top-right corner, click the Open menu icon, and click Add-ons and themes.

  3. On the left side of the Add-ons Manager page, click the Extensions tab.

  4. On the Extensions tab, click Norton Family.

  5. If Norton Family shows as disabled, move the slider to enable the extension.

  6. Close and relaunch Firefox.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. On the top-right corner, click Settings and More icon and then click Extensions.

  3. In the Installed Extensions page, next to Norton Family, move the slider to enable the extension.

  4. At the top-right, click Norton Family icon > This can read and change site data and then choose On all sites.

  5. Close and relaunch Microsoft Edge.
