Reinstall Norton after you run the Norton removal tool

After you run the Norton removal tool, you need to download the Norton product from your Norton account. If you have received your Norton product from your service provider, download the latest version of the Norton product from their website.

If you cannot find your Norton product after you upgrade to the newer version of Windows, you can download it from your Norton account.

Download the product from your Norton account

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. Type in your email address and password for Norton, and click Sign In.

  3. In the My Norton window, click Download.

    If you are installing on Windows 10 in S mode, click Get it from Microsoft and follow the prompts to install from the Microsoft store.

  4. Click Agree & Download

  5. Press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.

  6. If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

    Follow the on-screen instructions.

Download the Norton product from your service provider

  1. Log in to your Service Provider and navigate to where you downloaded and installed your Norton product from originally.

  2. Download and install your Norton product on the new computer.

  3. In the main screen, click Activate, or Sign Up Now.

  4. Click Next.

  5. If you see a prompt, in the My Service PIN field, type in the PIN number that is provided to you by your Service Provider.

  6. If you see a prompt, enter a computer name.

  7. Click Activate. If you have a license available, the product is activated.

  8. If your product licenses are used, then you see the options to either purchase another license or transfer a license.

    Do one of the following:

    • To purchase a new license: Under "Option 1: Purchase Another License", click the link and follow the on-screen instructions.

    • To transfer a license from a registered computer to this new computer: Under "Option 2: Transfer a License", find the name of the computer from where you want to transfer the license, and then click Deactivate.
