Get started with Norton Secure VPN

Norton Secure VPN encrypts your Internet connection on public hotspots to protect private data like your passwords when using your PC, Mac, or mobile device.

After you complete the installation of Norton Secure VPN or Norton 360, do the following to get started.

Configure Secure VPN

1. Do one of the following:

   • For Norton 360: Open your Norton device security product. In the My Norton window, next to Secure VPN, from the drop-down menu, select Turn On.

   • For Norton Secure VPN: By-default, Secure VPN is turned on and connected after you complete the Norton Secure VPN installation.

     If you are not connected, click the Secure VPN icon in the System Tray or menu bar to start Norton Secure VPN. Next to Virtual Private Network, click the status indicator to turn it ON.

2. To change the VPN location, do one of the following:

   • For Norton 360: In the My Norton window, next to Secure VPN, select Open from the drop-down menu. On the Virtual Location tab, select the region of your choice.

   • For Norton Secure VPN: On the Virtual Location tab, select the region of your choice.

3. To configure Ad Trackers, on the Ad Tracking tab, next to Block Ad Trackers, click the status indicator to turn it On or Off.
