Opt in or opt out of text message alerts

You can specify the phone number to send text message alerts. If you wish, you can also opt out of message alerts.

Update the phone number for text message alerts

1. Sign in to your account.

2. Depending on your subscription, do one of the following:

   • If you see the My Norton page, click Monitored Info tab.

   • If you see the Member Portal page, click Manage Account tab.

3. On the Contact Preferences section, next to Text Message, do one of the following and then click Update:

   • Choose the phone number to which you want to receive text message alerts. Reply "Start" to a confirmation message that you receive on this number to activate text alerts.

   • To receive alerts on a different number, click Add a new number and then click Update. Enter the phone number and then choose this number to start receiving the alerts.

   • To opt out of text message alerts, choose Do Not text.
