Resolve product activation errors for Norton Utilities Ultimate
This article is intended to help you resolve any activation errors that you may encounter when activating Norton Utilities Ultimate.
Product activation initiates your subscription. It ensures that you have a genuine Norton product installed and allows you to receive regular product updates and support.
Select the activation error that appears in your product:
Error: "This Product Key is invalid (-1005)"
The product key that you entered is not a valid key to activate your Norton Utilities Ultimate product.
The product key for Norton Utilities Ultimate is different from the product key for your Norton Protection. Product key is case-sensitive. Be careful to type it exactly as it appears.
To resolve this issue, follow the below instructions:

Sign in to your account.

At the top-right corner, hover the mouse pointer over your name and click My Subscriptions.

On the My Subscriptions tab, scroll down till you see Norton Utilities Ultimate.

Write down or copy the product key that appears right under the product.
Your Norton product key is a 25-character alphanumeric string.

Open Norton Utilities Ultimate.

Click Sign in.

Sign in with your Norton account email address and password.

Enter the product key that you copied and complete the activation.
Error: "Account Mismatch"
The product key that you entered is registered to a different Norton account.
If you want to proceed with activating the product with this product key, click Use this key.
Important: Ensure you have access to the other Norton account before you proceed. You will have to sign in with the other Norton account credentials when prompted to sign in to your product.
To activate your product with a different key, click Enter a different key.
You can always find your Norton Utilities Ultimate product key from your Norton account. For instructions, see section Find your Norton Utilities Ultimate product key in Activate Norton Utilities Ultimate.
If you need help, click Close and contact Norton Member Services & Support.
Error: "Cannot connect to the Server"
You seem to have an Internet connection failure. To resolve this problem, check your Internet connection and click Retry.
Your computer needs active Internet connection to complete the activation process.
